John logie baird patented the idea using transparent rods to transmit images for television. This enabled televisions to transmitt programs from a long distance.

Invention of the TV

Charles Jenkins invented a mechanical television system called radiovision and he said that he transmitted the earliest moving silhouette images. This was the birth of the Television making it possible to now view entertaintment and not just listen or read it.

First use of long distance television

Took place between Washington D.C. and New York. The first use of long distance television showed the country that you can watch something across the country.

First live sports broadcast
