4G (LTE) launches
Mobile carriers began deployment of LTE networks in 2009. LTE offers faster speeds than WiMax, enables voice over IP, and is far more efficient. -
T-Mobile deploys HD Voice calling
HD calling enables better quality calls. It is the first US carrier to do so.
