The first portable music device was introduced the Saehin / Eiger Labs engineers. Even though portable music devices before the MP3 had been around for awhile ( Cassette Players and Walkmens). The MP3 was the first portable device that required no additional disk. This technology has forever changed how we share and listen music. -

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin who were both Ph.D students at Stanford University. Interesting fact is that google is so well known that the name has become a verb. -

Wikipedia was founded by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger in 2001. This internet site is still used in 2017. -

Myspace was the first social media that i was aware existed since then other platforms of social media have over taken the myspace for popularity -

Facebook was founded my Mark Zuckerberg in 2004. There are currently 2 Billion actives users on Facebook and the number is only rising daily. -
Youtube
Youtube was founded by previous employees of PayPal in 2005. Youtube is a social media platform where users can upload,create,share, comment on and view videos. According to an article by Huffington Post there are currently 1 billion active users on Youtube (Huffington Post, 2016). -
Twitter
In 2015, twitter reported 288 million monthly active users. Twitters coming of age was throughout the 2008 Mumbai Bombing. -
WikiLeaks
The founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange created WikiLeaks in 2006 but didn't become a household name until 2010 when he published a series of leaks from Chelsea Manning. -

It's only been 6 years since the release of snapchat but currently has 158 million users in the world and the number is only growing daily.
