Heinz Ketchup Bottle
One of the first Heinz Ketchup bottles this bottle is made in the signature clear glass which H. J. Heinz believed showed the purity and cleanliness of the product better. This bottles shape is an ancestor to the one we see today. -
Heinz Ketchup Bottle 1887
This bottle is still made in the signature clear glass which H. J. Heinz believed showed the purity and cleanliness of the product better. This bottles shape is much more like the iconic shape. -
Heinz Ketchup Bottle 1906
This bottle is made in the signature clear glass. This bottles octagonal shape becomes one recognized for Heinz ketchup. On this bottle the small "57" at the neck of the bottle stands for 57 varieties (of products). Actually at the time there were 60 varieties, but H J Heinz thought that 57 was a lucky number so it stayed. -
Heinz Ketchup Packets
The Heinz ketchup packet has arrived!
Designed to sell even more ketchup these portable ketchup packets started appearing everywhere in America. Easy for kids to open and eat. -
Heinz Ketchup "Keg O' Ketchup" Bottle
This bottle is almost exactly the same as the iconic bottle of 1906 but is a 32 ounce bottle instead of 20 ounce bottle. This bottle looks rather squat but most bottles were just taller but I couldn't find a picture of one. -
Heinz Ketchup Squeeze Bottle
The plastic squeeze bottle was developed so kids could pour ketchup on their own and thus using more and buying more bottles. The bottles shape is flatter and not quite as octagonal however the labels are the same. -
Heinz Ketchup Bottles "Go Green"
The new ketchup bottles are now made of environmental safe products the "57" remains however, the new plastic shape bottle is in place. This shape is rectangular with little indents on either side, this makes it easier to hold. With the new shape the "57" is now on the packaging instead of the neck because there is no neck. -
Heinz Ketchup is Upside Down
The Heinz ketchup bottle is now upside down! They put the cap on the bottomso that there would be no problems in having to wait for it to fall. It is still using the plastic shape just upside down. -
Heinz Gets Rid of Pickles!
The packaging remains for plastic bottles but the pickle is gone in "57". Now there is a tomato and the words "Grown Not Made" This is their new slogan. -
Heinz Ketchup Dip N' Squeese Packets
The Dip N' Squeeze packets are designed to be no mess and are double purposed. You can either pull away the label and dip in the little packet or tear off the top and squeese it out on your plate. -
