The Evolution of Computers

  • Pong

    Pong
In 1972 a Game known as Pong was released. The game itself was very basic in what was required for you to win. It was vitrual tennis and was the first game we know to date.
  • Atari 2600

    Atari 2600
In 1977 the first computer game console was released from Atari, orginally known as the Atari VCS, but renamed before release to Atari 2600. It had a basic Micro-proccessor that is less powerful than even our phones and could only run things at a resolution that we call 8-bit. If you want a reference to 8-bit, then you could look at the popular game that is called "Minecraft."
  • Nintendo NES

    Nintendo NES
The Nintendo NES was the first Nintendo product to be released in the US. A huge contender in the gaming business and revolutionized how games should be played and how fun they can be. It intoduced our favorite characters to date like Mario, Donkey Kong. It even included our memorable Cartoon character Popeye. Though it had many Faults, it was a pioneer to what we have today, next to the Atari consoles (of course).
  • Nintendo Gameboy

    Nintendo Gameboy
The first ever handheld console known as the Gameboy. A item that is now replaced by our phones today, but was the best of it's time. How many memories that thing brings is immense, playing games like Mario, Donkey Kong, Sonic. It was just a lot of fun. It ran on Batteries that we would have to swap out, but man what a machine that was.
(I personally played on the Gameboy Advanced SP).
  • DOOM Release

    DOOM Release
The first of it's kind, you could say this was the first ever Mature game to ever be released. This was a first person (fps) gore fest of a game. You would see guts flying, guns blasting, and events going on all around. It may sound better on paper, though, but don't be fooled by the gameplay, for it's time, it was a whole lot of fun. I wasn't born yet, but I remember playing this on my uncle's computer when I was younger and I reacted like "WOW!" it was a whole lot of fun!
