    Berlin airlift
    The Soviet Union cut off all traffic and water to West Berlin in hope that the allies would give up West Berlin and to reunify Germany. American and British officials flew supplies through aircraft delivering supplies every 3 minutes for 11 months.

    When 12 nations including United States and Canada Formed a defensive alliance due to the fears of the Soviet aggression. This also was to reduce further expanse of communism.
  • Formation of the Warsaw Pact

    Formation of the Warsaw Pact
    It was an Alliance formed by the Soviet Union & Eastern European nations in response to West Germany joining NATO. Although this alliance was formed India and China remained unaligned. The Warsaw Pact made the countries in the alliances in a team and whenever an enemy would go after one of the countries all the countries would help out.

    Marked the British and French's efforts in independence from the U. S. with world affairs. Britain, France, and Israel planned and operation on Egypt to regain control of Suez Canal.

This worried the United States thinking if the soviets could do the satellite they would be able to launch ballistic missiles. After this the U. S. poured money into space education to encourage satellite developments.

    President Sadat was shot by Muslim extremists during a parade to commemorate the Yom Kippur War against Israel. One soilder threw a grenade and others shot Sadat and his entourage.

    Begin was elected prime minister of Israel in 1977, which caused peace with Egypt. In 1982 Israel launched operation peace of galilee to remove the threat begins liberal Israel economy. He died 10 years after his wife and was only found public ally at wedding and memorials for his wife with his children.

    This treaty was a reaction to the buildup of arms and their goal was to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons & weapon technology. It also was an act to have a peaceful use of nuclear energy and disarmament.
