Valley Forge
Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, is an area along the Schuylkill River, about 25 miles northwest of Philadelphia. General George Washington and his troops camped there in the winter of 1777 and 1778, during the American Revolution. -

Robert Livingston and James Monroe bought the port of New Orleans and Florida for ten million dollars. However, when offered the entire territory of Louisiana, they quickly decided to pay fifteen million dollars as a deal. Both men signed the Louisiana Purchase Treaty on April 30, 1803. -

people should be treated equally. Everyone should have the same rights and should never be treated unfairly by anyone. That is why, on August 28, 1963, he delivered the "I have a dream" speech. -
John .F Kennedy's Assasination
John .F Kennedy was the youngest man ever elected president of the United States, and he was the youngest ever to die in office. He was shot to death on Nov. 22, 1963, after two years and 10 months as chief executive. -
Apollo 11
Apollo 11 was the spaceflight which landed the first humans, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon on July 20, 1969. A third member of the mission, Michael Collins, stayed alone in orbit until they returned from the surface. All three astronauts returned to Earth after travelling in space for 8 days. -
9/11
9/11 was the worst act of terrorism ever carried out against the United States. On Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked four commercial jetliners and crashed two of them into the Twin Towers in New York City, and one into the Pentagon Building near Washington, D.C. However, only a few people survived.
