  • Rape of Nanking (1937)

    This was during the holoacuast and there was about 300,000 deaths of both Chinese civilians and soldiers. They were all over the streets andin common areas. There is a statue of Gen. Chiang Kai-shek who led the Rape of Nanking.

  • Ribbentrop/Molotov Pact (1939)

    Hilter and Stalin signed to a non-agression pact which was know as the Molotov-Ribbentrop Treaty.They influence Germany and Russia that they would have after a successfully invade Poland.

  • Germany's invasion of Poland (1939)

    German bombed Poland on their land and as air. Adolf Hitler wanted to regain his lost territory or land and imminently rule Poland. Hilter extenced to war and th ebobs destroyed railroads, communication lines, and munitions dumps and etc.

  • German Blitzkrieg (1939-1940)

    Germans had about 1 million men against about 600,000 pole that were active on duty. First the German forces took part of the Blitzkeieg across the German Poland border line. The Germans were at Warsaw and in two weeks a German army were moving north and trapped 170,000 Polish troops

    General Edward King surrendered to Japanese General.The march had about 76,000 prisoners. They woudl walk a captive route of death. The prisoners suffered a 60 mille long walk.

  • Battle of Midway (1942)

    One month after the battle of the Coral Sea, the United States navy attack the Imperial Japanese Navy. American planes were based on land. As a victory it allowed the United States and the allies to move into an offensive position.

  • Operation Gomorrah (1943)24 Jul 1943

    British bombers were at wat with Hamburg. Germany by night in Operation Gomorrah and the Americans bomb it. British saw aircraft off and about 2,000 tons of bombs on Hamburg. More than 1,500 German civilians were killed. Over 17,000 bombs were dropped, 9,000 explosive. Killing more than 30,000 people and destroying 280,000 buildings. This was a big war only beucase they used a lot of explostion which not only killed a lot but building were gone.

    Western Allies landed in France against Adolf Hitler's Germany. Germans from France destroyed the National Socialist regime. After this war the Allies gain a foothold in Normandy. More then 100,000 soldider crossed Europe to defeat Hilter

    They were planning a attack on Berln. Was miltiary operation that was never came out. But about 110,000 were killed and many of them were the key German personnel.

    Was a major battle in which the United States Armed Forces fought for and captured the island of Iwo Jima from the Japanese Empire.

  • Battle of Okinawa (1945)

    They fought on the Ryukyu Islands and was the largest assault in the Pacific War of World War 2. This long battle was 82 days.

    VE was the public holiday celebrated to mark the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's surrender of its armed forces.It is also the victory in Europe for the Allies in World War II.

    It was when Soviet Union declared war on Japan, they surrendered right away to the United States. This also is when the first military use of atomic weapons. This atomic bomb was equal to 20,000 tons on TNT. Killing tens of thousands of civilians.

    Hitler had his last great offensive on the Western Front. Hilter believe that he can break up the alliance between Britain, France and America in the western Europe. His attack was know as the Battle of the Bulge
