    On a hill outside of Nottingham, Charles calls the Parliamentary forces traitors and the war is started. Conflict is between Cavaliers (Royalists) and Roundheads (Parliamentary supporters.)

  • Significant Roundhead Victory at Marston Moore

  • New Model Army formed by Oliver Cromwell

  • Charles flees to Scottland

  • Charles I is put on trial and beheaded
