The Development from Conception of a Baby Birth

Fetus Month 1

Jun 20, 2015

~ The fetus is the size of a pen head.
~ The critical stage from the brain strats to develope, internal organs, and circulatory system developes.
~ The heart begins to beat.

Fetus Month 2

Jul 20, 2015

~ Fetus is about 1/4 inch (6mm)
~ Face, eyes, ears, and limbs begin to take shape
~ The bones start to form

Fetus Month 3

Aug 20, 2015

~ Fetus is about 1 inch (25mm)
~ Nostrils, mouth, lips, and eyelids form
~ buds for the baby teeth apear
~ Fingers and toes are almost done developing
~ Organs are present but are immature

Fetus Month 4

Sep 20, 2015

~ Fetus is about 3 inches (7.6cm) , weighs 1 ounce (28g)
~ The baby can suck its thumb, swallow, hiccup, and move around
~ the facial features are clearer

Fetus Month 5

Oct 20, 2015

~ Fetus is about 6 1/7 (16 -18 cm) inches and weigh about 4-5 ounces (113 - 142 g)
~Teh hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows appear
~ Teeth still developes
~ The organs are maturing
~ The baby becomes more active

Fetus month 6

~ Fetus is about 8-10 inches (21-25 cm) and wieghs about 8-12 ounces (227-340 g)
~Fat depoits under skin and makes the fetus apper wrinkled
~ The breathing movements begin

Fetus Month 7

Dec 20, 2015

~Fetus is about 10- 12 inches(25- 31 cm)
~ Weighs about 1 1/2 -2 pounds (680-907 g)
~periods of activity, rest and quiet periods

Fetus Month 8

Jan 20, 2016

~ Fetus is about 14-16 inches (36-41 cm) weighs 5-6 pounds (2.3-2.7 kg)
~Baby gains weight rapidly
~Reacts to loud noises by a reflex jerking action
~Baby moves into a head-down position
~Descends into the pelvis, ready for birth

Fetus Month 9

Feb 20, 2016

~Fetus is about 17-18 inches (43-46 cm) and weigh about 5-6 pounds (2.3-2.7 kg)
~ The baby continues to gain weight
~baby skin becomes smooth
~Not a lot of movement fetus has less space to mave around
