Jacques`s death
Jacques confronts an albino monk by the name of Silas, who is demanding the secrets of the Priory. Jacques is then shot after telling the albino what he knows. The albino had also killed the other three sénéchaux and so Jacques has to pass the secrets on to someone he trusts. -

Langdon`s expertise
Langdon's rudely awoken by a summons to help the French FBI regarding the death of Jacques Saunière. Robert Langdon is a college professor and expert in symbology. He`s presents is requested at the Louvre, a museum located in Paris. -

Sophie Neveu
Sophie Neveu, a cryptologist and the granddaughter of Jacques, arrives at the murder scene and warns Langdon that he's the primary suspect. They meet in the men's room and hatch a plan of escape involving a bar of soap, a tracking device, and a lucky throw onto a moving truck. -

The Mona Lisa
After attempting to leave the Louvre and being chased by the police, Sophie and Langdon have to go back to figure out a clue Jacques left for them. The clue leads them to the Mona Lisa where a guard almost catches them. They then found another clue that led them to find a key that had PS engraved on it. -

The key
The key that Sophie and Robert recieved had some invisible ink on it that led to an address. The address belonged to a swiss bank. The PS on the key stands for Priory of Sion which is a secret society that Jacques was the grand master of. -

Bank of Zurich
After arriving at the bank, Sophie and Robert find out that Jacques had an account with something inside. The police found out that they were there, so they have to hurry and get whatever was in there. After finally piecing together the account number , Langdon and Sophie recover a wooden box with a rose on it from the bank's elite vaults. -

The cryptex
They narrowly escape capture once again, and flee to the countryside in the back of an armored truck. While ensconced in their getaway vehicle, they open the box and discover a cryptex built by Sophie's grandfather, a device based on secret blueprints drawn up by Da Vinci. Inside was said to be the keystone
It becomes more and more clear that they have embarked on a quest to find the Holy Grail. -

The secrets of the Priory of Sion
They head to sir Leigh Teabing`s house and tell Sophie all of the secrets that the Priory of Sion have been keeping. They also tell Sophie about what the Holy Grail actually is, which is Mary Magdelane. -

The interuption
After finding out the keystone is in Teabing's house, Silas breaks into the house and threatens them for the keystone. Teabing knocks Silas out and ties him up. The cops show up because they tracked down Robert. Sophie, Robert, Teabing, Remy (Teabing's servent), and Silas flee to London on Teabing's private jet. -

Another mystery
While on Teabing's private jet, they figure out the password to the cryptex. The password was Sofia's name. But Inside the cryptex was another cryptex and another clue they had to solve. Now they are headed to a church in search of a knight. -

Temple Church
After escaping the London police, Robert, Sophie, Teabing, Remy, and the tied up Silas arrive at where the next clue led to. The Temple Church included Knights that were in the clue. Remy and Silas come in and demand that they give them the keystone. Robert gave them the keystone and they got away with Teabing as a hostage. -

Saunière's riddle
Langdon and Sophie go to the King's College Research Institute to try and piece together Saunière's riddle about a missing orb. After discovering that the real Knight is Isaac Newton, they head out to his tomb. -

Teabing´s secret
Collet, another French cop, finds a bunch of computers Teabing's house, that are set up to spy on people in. They also find names next to it with a really familiar name. That name is Jacques. -

The riddle
While there they are lured to a deserted area by a note from the Teacher, their mysterious nemesis. It's revealed that Teabing has been the Teacher all along. Langdon is stunned, but not too stunned to finally figure out Sauniére's riddle. He secretly opens the cryptex, removes the papyrus, and then throws it high in the air, allowing it to dramatically smash into smithereens, leading Teabing to think the papyrus has been destroyed. Bezu Fache storms in, and arrests Teabing. -

The truth about Sophie
Langdon and Sophie go to Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland for the last clue. There, they find Sophie's long-believed-dead grandmother and little brother. Turns out Sophie's family is the Holy Grail bloodline.
Langdon wants to know where the sacred texts proving it are stored. Sophie's grandmother reassures him that they're not there anymore. -

The Holy Grail
Langdon goes back to the Louvre, because in his sleep he finally realizes that all the symbols and Sauniére's clues tell him that the Holy Grail is resting under the inverted glass pyramid that forms the focal point of it's entrance. Robert kneeled before it in the glass pyramid at the Louvre.
