Kennedy's Letter

President Kennedy sends a letter simply stating that he wouldn't invade Cuba , he would take down the blockade, and he secretly offered to remove the missiles in Turkey if Khrushchev would remove his missiles from Cuba. -

Russia takes down their missiles and leave Cuba for good. Kennedy, as promised, also takes down the naval blockade of Cuba. Kennedy gets a lot of praise for “ standing down the Russians.”
