Mary Warren shows up to the Proctor household. She lets John know that there has been thirty nine women arrested for witchcraft. Elizabeth confronts John about him and Abigail's relationship.

Proctor tries to persuade Mary to help him in court. She admits that Abigail told her about the affair. John goes to court so that Elizabeth doesn’t get in trouble for him.

Elizabeth is mentioned in court. John couldnt day all Ten Commandments , so Elizabeth has to say adultery for him. Elizabeth is attested because of the poppet.

Giles, Francis Nurse, and Proctors wives have all been charged with witchcraft. Danfirth says if Proctor delays his petitions, Elizabeth will stay in jail. John Proctor refuses.

Giles gets arrested. Games starts to feel guilty about all of the death warrants he’s signed. Danforth questions Abigail and Mary Warren. The girls began to repeat Mary .

Elizabeth is questioned by Danforth. She lies to protect him but doesn’t know that he already committed to adultery. Hale quits the court.
