    After John reluctantly signed the document, citizens were insured basic political rights. They had the right to a trial by jury, no taxation without proper representation, and protection of the law.

    The Model Parliament is Created and with it a New Social Structure

    The Model Parliament was originally founded by the king who wanted a legislative group. It was then used to keep the king's power in check. It was remembered and used as a model for later kings.

    It was the first time a king was put on trial and publicly executed.This event showed that kings never necessarily have all the power and that citizens could contribute to political decisions.
    This was revolutionary because it had never been done before.

    It put limits on the monarch. Some limits were no suspending of parliament laws, no levying of taxes without a specific grant from parliament, no interfering with freedom of speech in parliament, and no penalty for a citizen who petitions the king about grievances.
    The outcome were results oriented for the citizens.
