Exposition: Background !
There was a nuclear bomb attack, and Eli and his family went into their shelter, which was the underground compund. In here they had food, a t.v, bedrooms, a workout room ,etc. They used baby supplements just in case the food ran out. -
Exposition 2: Characters
In this book the characters are Eli, Eddy, Theresa, Lexie, Mom, Dad, Grandma , and the dog. During the "nuclear bomb" only mom, dad, Eli, Theresa, and Lexie made it into the compound. -

Exposition 3: Setting
The Compound take place on June 10, 2010- August 19, 2025. The story takes place in Seattle, Washington. -
Rising Action: Conflict!
In the compound everyone is getting use to their new life. They all have their own bedrooms , including a theme to go along with them. Eli likes playing basketball every morning. But he starts blaming himself , for leaving Eddy and grandma behind. -
Rising Action 2
It already been three years in the compound. Eli and Lexie are getting into arguments They are getting rid of the food supply very quickly! -
Rising Action 3
The food supply in the compound is running short. The food is the same can food that they have been eating for the past three years. Everyone in the family is becoming bored and mad at each other. Especially Eli and Lexie ! -
Rising Action 4
The dad found out something, that no one else had found out. He found some of the internet connection with the outside world. He had a laptop hidden in his work desk. But when he discovered the internet connection he didn't even tell his wife. Eli asked his father one day, when he saw him on the laptop, and his father lied and said that it wasn't working. -
Rising Action 5
The dad is communicating with other people from the outside world. He talks with them from his laptop, and somehow he sends them little secretive notes. But there is one thing, so important that the father has hidden in that desk. It's a little slip of paper with a bunch of numbers! ? -
Rising Action 6
The food is gone in the compound. All of the chicken ran out. Their cows died and couldn't give anymore food. Their rice had poisons in it and the dad is losing his mind. So they had to start using the supplements. These supplements were babies; so they had to use the babies that the mom birthed. -
Climax
Everyone has found out something thanks to Eli. He told everyone that the father has found an internet connection and didn't tell any of them. One day when the father was out in the living room, and Eli went down the hall from his room to the office room. He searched through the desks and found the laptop. He turned it on and discovered internet connection. -
Falling Action 1
Now that the family has found out that the dad didn't tell them about the internet connection, and lied about everything; they have lost his trust. Everybody has turned against the father. The father has now had enough of eveybody ignoring him. So he locks the silver door to the compund. So that no one gets out! -
Falling Action 2
The mother is very sad that the father has been hiding these secrets. Now that the family knows that he has been hiding things from them, they start searching for other hidden clues. Then they managed to find something. -
Falling Action 3
One day Eli and Lexie heard the father on the phone. They heard him writing something down on a sheet of paper and locking it up in his desk. When the father left the office room, the kids snuck in. They found a peice of paper with a bunch of numbers written on it. -
Resolutin 1
The dad starts getting crazier and crazier, in the compound. Eli starts having thougths about this compound situation. He thinks that maybe this could have been all one big joke. The mom gets pregnant again in the compund. Now, the kids start putting the number in the code together. -
Resolution 2
The kids figured out the number to the combination, and opened the silver door to the compound. When they stepped out it was so crowded.There were so many FBI reporters and camera people and some from the news. Grandma and Eddy where there outside the compound. Out stepped everyone except for the dad.
