    It devided Europe into two seperate areas. It lasted until the end of the cold war. It was efforts by the Soviet Union. It blocked itself off and satellite from open contact

  • Berlin Blockade

    Berlin Blockade
    The united states and its allies started delivering good to Berlin, from plane. The Berlin Airlift lasted more than a year and delivered 2.3 million tons of cargo into West Berlin. The supplies flies out day and night, and feeds the city. This started after Soviets closed all highways, railroads, and canals to Berlin, in attempt to starve them.

    Its an organization between the us and European countries. It established the north atlantic treaty.

    The korean war was fought between North Korea and South Korea. The war started after North Korea invaded South Korea. It made effects on the border, that got people started. This became part of the Cold war, that was still being fought between the United States and the Soviet Union.

    Was the first object to be placed into space. It was launched by the soviet union. It was a satelite. Thus was the the first event to start the space race.

    The United States and the Soviet Union had a race who could get the furthest in space. The Soviet Union was in the lead when they launched the Sputnik 1, the first man- built object to be put into space orbit. Then the Soviets Union launched Luna 2, followed a man to orbit space. While the united states were trying to send a man off to land on the moon. Then they succeeded placing a United States flag on the moon.

    The United States had a CIA plane, and were trying spy on the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union shot the plane down. This event led to a conference between the United States and the Soviet Union. It was embarrassing for the United States.
