The Potsdam Conference was the last meeting of World War II. It was held between the Big Three which consisted of the leaders of The United States, Britain, and the Soviet Union. The leaders at the time came to agreements about the German economy, punishment for war criminals, land boundaries, and reparations. -

The Iron Curtain was an imaginary boarder created by the Soviet Union going through Eastern and Central Europe. The Soviets were using it as a buffer zone between them and the West. -
Atomic Bomb
Truman told Stalin to withdraw his troops from East Germany but Stalin didn't want to because he said it was a buffer zone. Since Stalin didn't want to Truman had a secret backup plan of using the atomic bomb on the Soviets. The Manhattan Project ushered in a new weapon, the atomic bomb. During the Potsdam Conference,The British Prime minister said that it was very tense between Stalin and Truman. -
Long Telegram
George F. Kennan was an American spy stationed in Moscow and wrote a long telegram back to America exposing the Soviets. Stalin had put a false layer of security over The Soviet Union making them to think that their communists regime was okay.
