The Cuban Missile crisis was a time period where the US and the Soviet Union were almost ready to launch Nuclear weapons at each other, thus starting a nuclear war. Both countries were scared of the other because both countries had Nuclear Weapons directly beside those countries. -
Cultural Revolution
The cultural revolution was a time period in China, led by Mao Zedong, where the Chinese military, specifically young people, were called and forced to ban all traces of capitalism that had previously been taught in China. People who were said to have capitalist ideas were hit, torched and even killed. -
1st Man on the Moon
America sent Neil Armstrong to outer space, and he successfully landed on the moon, making him the first man to do so. This was a victory for America, because even though the Soviet Union put the first people into outer space, nobody had ever been to the moon before. -
