Alger Hiss was accused because he was spying the Soviet Union by sending them information. Later on he started working as a lecturer and author. After that he was also accused for being a communist when he was in Federal Service. After that he was found guilty and sentenced him 5 years. -

Invasion of Czechoslovakia known as (Operation Danube)
The Soviet Union, East Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Hungary were the Warsaw Pact countries that attacked the Czechoslovakia. Albania and Romania refused to attack. All East Germany didn't participate. Many people were killed and 500 were wounded. The invasion was stopped by Alexander Dubcek's Prague Spring liberalization. Alexander's resignation became the first secretary of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. The Soviet's foreign policy era was knows as the Brezhnev Doctrine. -
