The Truman Doctrine was a policy set by President Truman that the USA would support Turkey and Grece with economic and military aid not to let them fall to the Soviets. -

The congress passed the Economic Cooperation Act and by April 3, 1948 it was signed by President Truman and known as the "Marshall Plan". -

Israel was created on the day before expiration of the British Mandate by the Jewish Agency declaring the State of Israel to be the Jewish State. -

Sputnik I was launched on October 4, 1957. changing the history of the Soviet Union. The first artificial satellite was about the size of the beach ball. Sputnik II was launched on November 3, 1957. It was mostly known as the first spacecraft with an animal on board. -

Was an American ELINT and SIGINT. It was a NAVY research ship, which was taken from us on January 23, of 1968 by Korea and is still being held there today. -
