    South Korean and U.N. forces had almost pushed North Korea all the way back to the border of China. China, also being a communist country and being allied with North Korea, feared that they might face invasion if North Korea was conquered. So Chinese soldiers volunteered in the North Korean army and helped them push back the U.N and South Korean soldiers.
