California would enter as a free state and there would no longer be slave trade in washington D.C.
Congress would not pass laws banning slavey in the new Mexican territories -
Fugitive Slave act
The fugitive slave act was passed in 1850 and allowed the capture of slaves in all states and made it a crime not to report or turn them in

Bleeding Kansas
People came from Missouri and voted for proslavery leaders illegaly
Anti slavery opponents made their own government and were attacked by proslavery supporters
After this attack John Brown murdered several of his neighbors -
Dred Scott Decision
Scott went to court to sue for his freedom
this decision eventually lead to the Civil Rights act of 1866 which gave blacks full citizenship -
John Browns Raid on Harpers Ferry
Brown wanted to inspire slaves to fight for freedom
He attacked an arsenal to get the slaves wepons
Brown and his men were captured and 10 were killed
Abolitionists saluted Brown as he was put to death -
