    The Church of England
    By the Act of Supremacy, Church of England became an official religion. Henry VIII was the head of the religion and closed many monasteries. So, this maked the start of religious conflict between Catholics, Anglicans and Puritans. All this confilcts were settled with the Toleration Act in 1689.
    Elizabet I adopted many catholic rituals, but the official language was the English (Church of England was a middle way between the Catholicism and Protestantion)

    The Puritans

    Puritans were radical groups, in fact, they rejected Catholicism and Protestantism, and their life was based on hard work and the Bible (they lived simply and with strict moral principles).
    Success in life, for them, was a sign of God's grace.

    Medieval Cathedrals

    Medieval Cathedrals
    The Cathedrals of the Middle Ages, which were built in the 11th, are the finest buildings in England. Norman churches were in Romanesque style, so there were massive walls, heavy pillars, round arches, tall and narrow windows.
    In 13th were built gothic cathedrals, which were different, in fact, gothic is more light, spacious and graceful. Moreover, they were elaborated and decorated.
