The Roman Republic is Established
The Roman Republic was finally established after about a year of waiting. This was due to the overthrown of the monarchy, and the building of the new empire. The Roman government went from a monarchy with kings to the new constitutional republic. -

Roman Monarchy Overthrown
The Roman Monarchy was overthrown in 509 BC after the last king, King Superbus was expelled. This then resulted in the change from monarchy to the republic. -

Julius Caesar becomes Dicator
When problems arose, like the Punic Wars as well as other civil problems, a dictator was to be elected to fix Roman's problems and then step down. Julius Caesar became this dictator, but he took it too far and ultimately brought the republic down with him. -

Julius Caesar is Killed
Julius Caesar's death leads to the rise of Mark Antony and Octavian. Their rise is what lead to the ultimate downfall of the Roman Republic, and the rise of the Roman Empire. -

The Start of the Roman Empire
After the fall of the roman republic, Caesar Agustus becomes the new emperor of the new Roman Empire. The Empire is new and approved. -

Roman Empire Social Classes
During the time of the Roman Empire, a large problem resulting in the fall of Rome were social classes. The social classes worshipped those higher and left those poorer to be just that, poorer. The upper class was very small, but still incredibly wealthy and made all decisions. This caused a great divide in the people and a rebellion from the lower class. -

Second Punic War
The second punic war was when Hannibal invaded Italy. He leads the people into the Carthage Army and crossed the Alps which he would become famous for into battle. This battle would later be seen as a turning point for the Roman Republic. -

Constantine becomes Emperor
Constantine became an empire in the year 306. With this, he brought a very new religion. Constantine himself was a Christian, and with being the leader, he brought Christianity to the Roman Empire. This was not usual for the Roman empire, because they had persecuted Christians prior to this. Constantine himself did not result in the fall of Rome, but actions from Constantine's expansion would result in the fall of the Roman Empire. -

Roman Empire Splits into Two
As the Roman Empire continued to grow, it eventually became too big to control under just one rule. There was already a continuing problem of ruling with unity, and the solution to this problem was to split the empire into two. The Roman empire was then split into the Eastern and Western Roman Empire. Although this was to cure the problem of not being unionized, it did create more problems with unity as well. -

Rome Falls
After beginning to lose wars, the last Roman emperor is defeated. The emperor was Emperor Romulus Agustus, and he was defeated by German Goth Odoacer. The Roman empire was overthrown and forced to fall with new empires and new developments to come.
