    Nine black students are admitted into an all white high school. Black families banded together. Black parents fight fof their kids to have the best.

    The U.S. engaged in their 16 year war against the North Vietnamese. Men came back with Vietnam syndrome tearing apart their marriages and families. People's sons were drafted into the war.

    By 1980 more than half of all women enter the workforce. Women were now able to help financially take care of their families.

    In 1996 the use of the internet exploded. People could use the internet to connect with extended family.
