The Townshed Act was passed to stretch the power of the British soldiers stationed in the colonies and try to put an end to smuggling. The act said that the revenue will be raised to provide money to pay in provinces that are necessary. -
Tea Act
The Tea act was passed because colonists were smuggling tea since the taxes were so high. The Act says that anyone has to have a license to be able to sell the tea or import the tea anywhere -
