Liesel's younger brother died on the train. This train was taking them to himmal street where Liesel's new foster parents lived. They had a funeral at one of the stations by stopped at. -
Stolen Book
After her younger brother had been buried by two grave diggers Liesel discovered a book in the snow. It was the "Grave Digger's Handbook" that had been dropped by the grave digger appretince. This book was the first book she stole. -
Reading
Liesel's Papa decided to teach her how to read or write after he discovered her stolen book. They held the lessons in the early morning after Liesel woke from her nightmares. -
The Book Burning
They held a book burning in the name of the Fuhrer on his birthday. Liesel blamed him for her mother being taken away, so she stole a book that had survived the fire. -
The Mayor"s Library and thieving
The mayor's wife ,Frau Hermann, had started to let Liesel come and read in her library when she went to get the washing. Rudy and her had joined a group of theives to steal apples, potatoes, and other things to keep them from starving. -
Max Comes
Max Vanderburg was a jew who they agreed to hide from the Natzi party because Liesel's Papa had been saved by Max's father in WW1. -
Helping Hands cause trouble
Liesel's Papa helped a jewish man up and gave him bread while he was watching the parade of jews going through the street. He relizes that the party will come for sure and search them. Max left that night. -
Sent to War
Liesel and Rudy's father are drafted into the army as punishment according to their fathers. Rudy's for not sending Rudy to the army and Liesel's for helping jews. -
Everything ends
Liesel starts writting her life story. This is why she was in the basement writting when the bombs hit and why she lived.
