Mobile phones first appeared on the market in the 1980s, but they were big, bulky, and heavy. So, in 1994, Nokia launched its first cell phone the Nokia 1011. This was the first mass-produced GSM phone and was an industry game changer. -
The First PlayStation!
On Dec. 3rd, 1994, Sony released the very first PlayStation in Japan. Since it was such a hit, Sony’s PlayStation hit the American market in September 1995.

VHS to DVDs
VHS tapes were already a household norm when Toshiba developed DVDs in 1995. Many tech companies had their own variations of DVDs but paired with the DVD player, Toshiba released the one set in 1996, instantaneously becoming a hit. -
Google
The famous search engine we still use today, Google, was invented by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, students at Stanford University. They became friends in 1995, started by writing a program together in 1996, and after that success, they launched Google.com in 1997. They continued working on developing the world-known search engine in their friend Susan Wojcicki’s garage, she is today the director of YouTube. Google was officially a company in September 1998.
