    In 1940 the logo received a few minor changes, that weren't even noticeable unless you look closely. However soon a Pepsi CEO would have a logo idea that would change the look of the brand forever. This was the last classic looking Pepsi-Cola logo.

    In 1950 the Pepsi-Cola CEO had a ground breaking idea. Why not put the words Pepsi-Cola on a soda lid and have that be the logo? During this time to be patriotic the color scheme was also changed to red white and blue. This was the most drastic change Pepsi-Cola logos ever received.

    In 1963 Pepsi was still enjoying their logo but they did decided to give it a minor remodel. Deciding that Pepsi-Cola was too long to put on top of a bottle cap, and also perhaps to stand out from their competitors "Coca-Cola" they shortened the name to Pepsi, and put it in a simple bold blue font on a red white and blue bottle cap.

    In 1973, Pepsi introduced the “boxed-in” Pepsi logo. It was still a similar design but now instead of a bottle cap the word Pepsi just sat on a circle that looked a little like a cap.

    In 1998, the company celebrated its 100th anniversary. To commemorate the anniversary, the company made some changes in its logo design.For the first time, background space of the logo was blue. White, which was traditionally used for wide back space, was shifted in the word “Pepsi”. The new Pepsi logo was created to give it a refreshing look.

    After experimenting with this new idea of the word pepsi being outside what had become known as not the cap but the "globe" pepsi noticed that the globe is what people liked most about their logo. The modern logo is only the globe, with the same color scheme as it has had all the way since the original bottle cap design.
