    6 months after the tragic attack at Pearl Harbor, The Japanese Navy has four forces headed straight for Midway island. Three of those four forces are going to attack the USN fleet while the other force is headed to invade the Aleutian Islands.

    The Japanese were convinced that a surprise attack on the US Navy would eliminate them as a strategic power in the Pacific.
    The Japanese hoped that another defeat would give them the upper hand.

    The US had a priceless advantage of code breakers during the war and they were able to break the Japanese force's code to confirm where the Japanese would strike and they were able to prepare for the battle

    The Japanese forces Begins its operation to take the aleutian islands and attack the island.
  • The first attack

    At 4:30AM, the bombing of Midway Island begins.
    The Japanese sends their first carrier strike force.
    US aircrafts take off to scout out Japanese ships.
  • Second Attack

    Second Attack
    Since the Americans had already launched their air attacks before the first strike on Japan's side, the japanese were forced to launch a second attack on the USN.

    At 7:28AM, a Japanese plane spots ten undetermined USN surface ships northeast of the Japanese Midway invasion force
  • Six Minutes

    Six Minutes
    The USN (Ships USS Hornet and USS Enterprise) launches their dive bomber and torpedo planes
    The US begins attacking Japanese carrier ships- sinking 3 (Kaga, Soryu and Akagi)
    All incoming USN Devastator attackers are shot down by Japanese Zero fighters in the span of six minutes.

    The islands of Kiska and Attu are taken by the Japanese
  • US attacks Japan

    US attacks Japan
    The US final attack crippled Japanese naval air power. The enemy suffered four lost carriers and the majority of its air fleet. The battle was a decisive victory for the United States that ended the Japan threat to the Hawaiian Islands and the United States mainland.
