The Culhua-Mexica Find Their Predicted Spot For Their Capital
A group of Culhua-Mexicas were told by one of their gods that they should make their city on the spot where an eagle is perched on a cactus with a snake in its mouth. It was in 1325 when they found this spot and they formed their capital, Tenochtitlan, there. They later became the Aztec Empire after the Tripple Alliance was signed by Culhua-Mexicas, along with two other groups. -

Acamapichitli becomes the first king of Tenochtitlan
Tenoch, the religious leader of the empire, dies, which causes the empire to call for a new leader. In 1376, the people decided on Acamapichitli to be their new king. -

Construction of the Templo Mayor begins
Acamapichitli calls for the first construction of the Templo Mayor, the main Aztec temple, in the center of Tenochtitlan. -

The Creation of The Triple Alliance
The Culhua-Mexica, the Acolhu who were from the city of Texcoco, and the Tepaneca who were from Tlacopan. Together, these three groups created the Aztec Empire and conquered much of the present-day Mexico region. -

The Aztecs Fall
On the 8th of November, Hernan Cortes discovers Tenechotitlan, and in 1520, Cortes allies himself with enemies of the Aztecs, allowing for the city of Tenochtitlan to fall along with the rest of the empire on Auguest 13, 1521.
