    Beginning

    The Aztecs first settled in the valley of Mexico in the year of 1100.
  • 1345

    Rise of Tenochtitlan

    In this year the Aztecs founded the city of Tenochtitlan on Lake Texcoco.
  • 1428

    A triple alliance is formed

    Around the time of 1428 Tenochtitlan, Texcoco and Tlacopan formed a triple alliance to help conquer common enemies.
  • 1487

    Templo Mayor

    In the year 1487, the Aztecs finished the Templo Mayor in the city of Chinotitlan and to honor it they had 20,000 sacrafices.
  • Aug 13, 1521

    Fall of the Aztecs

    On this day the Spanish forces led by Cortés, brought the capital of Tenochititlan into their own hands and forever ending the Aztec empire.
