Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztecs, is founded. It was chosen because they saw an eagle holding a snake on a cactus, which was believed to be a sign. -

The First Ruler
Acamapichtli, the first ruler, starts his reign. The ruler is called the Tlatoani. -

An Alliance
The Aztecs form an alliance with the Texococans and the Tacubans which helps them to defeat the Tepanecs. -

The Comet
The priests notice a comet in the sky in the night. To the Aztecs, it is a sign of doom. Two years later, the Spanish arrived. -

The Aztec's Demise
Cortes and the Spanish are able to take over Tenochtitlan and defeat the Aztecs.
