Who were they ?
Were a group of farmer-warriors who lived in Britain over a thousand years ago.
They were strong people how fought a lot of battles each tribe was ruled by its own strong warrior.
They were 3 tribes the ANGLO, SAXON, and the JUTE. The tribe jute was the smallest one. -
How were the houses ?
They were small wooden huts with a straw roof, with only one room inside. They built their own villages surrounded by a lot of natural resources, and the British forest had everything they needed.
The biggest house belonged to the chief and all his warriors, the house had a long hall with a stone fire in the middle. -
How were the place names?
The villages were named after the leader of the tribe so everyone knew who was in charge. -
What did the eat ?
They loved the meat, The meat was cooked and the fire and the date with bread and beer. They sang songs long in tonight -
How were the clothes ?
They made their own clothes with natural materials. Men wear long tunics made of wool and the women wear an under-dress of line an a outside-dress called peplo -
Who were the goods ?
They were pagans who they believed looked different parts of their life, such as family, crop growing, weather and even war.
Pagan gods to give them good health, a plentiful harvest or success in battle.
