    Enlightenment thinkers started questioning authority and embracing the nation that humanity could improve. The Enlightenment created many books about ideas and opinions. These books took affect to the colonies.

    France's expansion into the Ohio River valley brought conflict with the claims of the British colonies. France won the Indians support. When British formally declared war in 1756, they didn't have success against the French and their Indian allies.

    The Stamp Act was passed by British Parliaments. It imposed on all American coloists and required them to pay tax of every piece of printed paper they used. They money collected by the act was used to help pay the cost of defending and protecting the American fruntier. Americans possessed the right to be taxed only by their representatives.

    The British wanted more money for security so they created the Sugar Act to tax the colonist for imported goods. The British hoped that the act would force the colonist to sell them the their goods which ment the colonies wouldn't be able to seel their goods for as much money. Soon Colonies started to boycott or quite buying British goods.

    In the Ratification of the Constitution, majority of the delegates to the Constitutional Convention approved the document. For two days congress debated on it. On September 28, they approved it and it took effect.
