The stamp act
The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper. Ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications, and even playing cards were taxed. The money collected by the Stamp Act was to be used to help pay the costs of defending and protecting the American frontier near the Appalachian Mountains

Quartering Acts
forced colonial authorities and their families to provide food, fuel, transportation and even shelter to the British military while they were here in America. Families had no choice but to take in soldiers even with their wives and children home. and wives and children were expected to be extremely hospitable to the British army men. If the homes were too small then localities were to house the soldiers in local inns.

Boston Massacre
between a "patriot" mob, throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks, and a squad of British soldiers. Many colonists were killed in the event.result of tensions that had been growing between the colonist and the English troops since the troops first appeared in Massachusetts. The soldiers were in Boston to keep order, but townspeople viewed them as a threat.

a bill designed to save the East India Company from bankruptcy by greatly lowering the tea tax it paid to the British government and, granting it a monopoly on the American tea trade. the Boston Tea Party took place on December 16, 1773, when colonists threw tea into the Boston Harbor. They did this because they didn't like the British tea taxes. Adams, Hancock and eighty other men disguised themselves as Natives Americans and threw all the tea into Boston Harbor did not impose any new tax on tea. It would still be taxed the three-penny per pound like it had been or the last six years.

was a meeting of representives from each colonies.at which they discussed and decided what would be done to overcome the wrongs done to each by the British. Battle of Lexington and Concord
British troops were sent to Concord to capture John Hancock and Samuel Adams, but both men had been warned about the British attack. The night of April 18th, Paul Revere rode through Concord warning everybody about the British attack.After this fight, the British found out that Hancock and Adams had escaped. So the British marched towards Concord looking for ammunition. This was the start of the Revolutionary war.

2nd Continental Congress
in 1775, when the Revolutionary war had started. Things were going badly, and the armed forces were disorganized. The Continental Congress created the Continental Army and named George Washington as commander-in-chief. The Congress continued through the summer. They decieded to declare independence from the British. Out of the discussions came the Declaration of Independence.

Battle of Bunker Hill
on June 17, 1775, mostly on and around Breed's Hill, during the Siege of Boston early in the American Revolutionary War.When the British were alerted to the presence of the new position the next day, they mounted an attack against them. After two assaults on the colonial lines were repulsed with significant British casualties, the British finally captured the positions on the third assault.

Winter at Valley Forge
Valley Forge in Pennsylvania was the site of the military camp of the American Continental Army over the winter of 1777–1778 during the American Revolutionary War. It is approximately 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Starvation, disease, and exposure killed nearly 2,500 American soldiers by the end of February 1778. The winter was very hard on the troops.
