The Townshend Acts was an act that used to help pay for the expenses of governing American Colonies which taxed glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. This act was important because when colonists resisted Britain sent troops to collect taxes and it created further tension that led to the American Revolutionary War. -

The Boston Massacre was when a guard that was guarding the Boston Customs House shot into a crowd of civilians killing 3 and injuring 8 men, resulting in a riot. This event is important because it became a turning point in America's independence. -
