Spain signs a treaty of alliance with the United States and the American Revolution. Mostly because of his rivalry with Great Britain. -
Battle of Saratoga.
When Burgoyne’s army finally reached Saratoga Springs on the Hudson River, it was packed with Militia that easily outnumbered the small British army. Even so, Burgoyne ordered an attack, and after taking quite a beating. This gave the patriots new confidence about the war. -
France joins the war.
France signs a treaty of alliance with the United States and the American Revolution.Mostly because of his rivalry with Great Britain. -
Battle of Yorktown.
French soldiers docked in Rhode Island to help their American allies against the British in New York City. With additional help from the French West Indies fleet led by Comte De Grasse, the combined armies began to move toward Yorktown, Virginia.They spread false information that they were planning a siege of New York City, as to catch them off guard. De Grasse sailed to the Chesapeake Bay and set up a naval blockade.Meanwhile Washington and Rochambeau surrounded Cornwallis and opened fire. -

George Washington.
He was the first president of the United States. He was born in 1731 and died in 1799. He was United States' military leader during the American Revolution war. He led the Uited States to victory. He's considered one of the American Founding Fathers. -
Thomas Jefferson.
He was the third president of the United States. His ideas were closer to the Enlightenment and liberals ideas. He defended the freedom of the religion a equal education for everyone.He's considered one of the American Funding Fthers.
