  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act happen on March 22, 1765 approved by the British Parliament which makes the american colonists pay a tax of every paper they printed. We chose this because the antecedents was that british got devastated from the 7 years war, so they look at americans in a way to gain money and produce it. So americans saw that that was an unconstitutional act, so through to mob, finally the british repealed the stamp act in 1766.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre took place on King Street in Boston on March 5, 1770. This began as a street fight of an American settler and a British soldier. We chose this event because, as we said, it started as a street fight, but then quickly grew like a bloody and chaotic massacre. Which leads a anti-british attitude and marked he road to the American Revolution.
  • The Boston Tea:

    The Boston Tea:
    Boston Tea Party was an incident in which 342 chests of tea belonging to the British East India Company were thrown from ships into Boston Harbor by American patriots disguised as Mohawk Indians. We chose this one because it is an example of what people did for a protest. In this one, a group of Massachusetts colonists protested against the British Parliament’s Tea Act.
  • The First Continental Congress

    The Continental Congress served as the government for the 13 colonies. The first one was on September 5th, 1774. They met to “organize colonial resistance to Parliament’s Coercive Acts.” The delegates that met in the Continental Congress, who were from all 13 colonies except Georgia, discussed things relating to the future of the colonies such as future presidents. During the congress, they tried to promote free debate and also tried to promote equality amongst all the delegates.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    The fight started in April 19, 1775, which started the American Revolutionary War. The tension between the colonies and England was being tough for many years, on the night of April 19, English army marched from Boston to Concord in order to seize an arm cache, the Americans got prepared for the fight and got the English to retreat.
  • Battle of bunker hill

    On June 17, 1775, the English army gained against the Colonies’ army in Massachusetts.The English army arrived into the Charlestown peninsula when they were close to the American troops they received a lethal barrage which made them retreat. The English reformed their lines and went to fight again this time, the Americans were short on ammunition so they had to fight face to face, the English being more in number, defeated the Americans.
  • The Declaration of Independence.

    The Declaration of Independence.
    The Second Continental Congress meeting approved the Declaration of Independence wrote by Thomas Jefferson, in the declaration explains what was going to happen with the 13 colonies, now they were actual sovereign states and the whole country independent.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    The two battles of Saratoga were really important and made a significant difference in the American Revolution. On sep/19/1777, the first one took place, with the British navy achieving a victory; however, it was a war that cost them many troops and they weakened their army.A second war took place 14 days after with the victory of American troops and the British were forced to retreat, them surrendering 10 days later.This victory convinced the French to enter the war as an ally of the colonies.
  • Yorktown battle

    It was the last battle of the American Revolution, the french help the americans and the battle started on September 28 (1781) and finished everything a couple of weeks later, with the victory of the Americans.
  • Washington is elected president

    Washington is elected president
    In the first presidential election of USA, in 1789, George Washington was elected president of the United States. We chose this because this election made clear that “Thirteen Colonies” was a new independent country.
