After the brunch, the team will board domestic TAM flight 3575 which took them from the province of Brasilia to Sao Paulo, where the flight landed at 8:55 pm. -
Cab Fare to and from the Sanctuary
Once having arrived at the international airport of Brasilia, a taxi will drive the team 104 miles from the airport to the Vagafogo National Park and Reserve. The cost of the drive is$104, and the drive, lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes for a one-way trip. After the first challenge, the team must catch a taxi back to the aiport. making the total fee $208. -
Brunch in Wildlife Sanctuary Vagafogo
In this MULTINATIONAL STATE, (nation that stretches across borders and states) the team must replicate a traditional dish served at the brunch called Farafoa. The regular CUSTOM (practice routinely followed by a group of people) of serving it at every meal can still be seen throughout many of the STATES (a politically organized territory that is administered by a sovereign government and is recognized by a significant portion of the international community) located throughout Brazil. -
RECIPE - Basic Farofa
Melt the butter in a heavy frying pan. When it's bubbling hot, add the salt and mix with a wooden or silicon spoon. Continuing to stir, slowly add the manioc flour in a steady stream, stirring all the while to moisten the grains equally. Continue to add flour until you reach the point where the mixture is dry and the grains are separated. The wearing of traditional bracelets on the ankles and knees are CULTURE TRAITS (a single element of normal practice in a culture, such as the wearing of a turban) in Zulu society. -
Zulu Dancing
Following the performance, the team will attempt to learn a traditional dance alongside the performers, while being dressed in traditional clothing. The dance that they have to learn is called the Ingoma, which represents a boy or a girls coming of age. -

The Kabir Festival
Attending the Kabir Festival is a great way for us to engage in the
CULTURAL (a groups prevailing values and beliefs, a way of life) and traditional poetry readings, dancing, FOLKLORE (unwritten stories), and many more.We also get to enjoy singing along to the FOLK SONGS (traditionally sung by natives of the region, part of culture) sung every year at this festival.

After spending the majority of the day learning of traditional Indian culture, the team must attempt to sing a traditional song or style of Indian music. The team will sing a type of classical Indian music called Carnatic music. This type of music is based on a scale (ragam) with multiple melodic restrictions, but also incorporates a rhythmic pattern (thalam). -

After landing in Mumbai at 12:05 am, the team catches a cab to the hotel. The cab musit drive 6 minutes from Mumbai International to the Orchis Hotel in Mumbai. The ride costs $0.30. The fare will be the same when the team must travel back to the airport. -

Paella, Spanish Style!!!
At Meson de la Tortilla, the team will be introduced to many different appetizers called pinchos. However, they must try and replicate one of the most traditional Spanish plates, the tortilla. For one whole hour, between 12 and 1, the Meson de Tortilla serves only this item to it's customers, and the team must make and serve them to all the customers. The tortilla is made up of potatoe, onions, and eggs. -

The team will catch their last taxi from the restaurant to the airport. It will be a 10 mile drive, taking roughly 13 minutes for the team to arrive at their destination. The fee will be $10. -
