His full name is Napoleon Bonaparte. He was born in Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica. -

The third estate of the estate system were fed up with King Louis XVI because of the unfair treatment and kicking them out of the National Assembly. France was also bankrupted and had a famine. -

The 1st and 2nd estate were scared of the 3rd estate because they broke into their houses, looking for food. Everyone was headed to the gullotine and even the creator of the idea. -

Napoleon's army lost the Mamelukes. They were trapped in Egypt. Later on, he took 13,000 of his soldiers to Syria. Their attacks failed. -

This brought Napoleon to the First Consul of France. -

Napoleon was stricter than Louis XVI but he centralized the administration and made peace with the Roman Catholic Church. -

He was crowned as the Emperor of the French. -
Napoleonic Code
It is the French civil code. It is based on birth, freedom of religion, and equal jobs for people who deserved it. Women lost most of their rights from before. Once again, the men is the head of the household and control everything. -
Battle of Trafalgar
The British defeated the French and Spanish naval battle. A French sniper shot Nelson, the man under the British was shot in the shoulder and chest then died. Napoleon never wanted to invade the British. -
Battle of Austerlitz
The French fought with Russia and Austria allies. The allies failed their traps for the French and lost 15,000 men killed/wounded and 11,000 captured. -

Britain was not allowed to trade with European countries. Although, it hurt the English economy, this system didn't work out and it lead to the Peninsular War. -

Napoleon placed his brother to the Spanish throne. The people revolted and the war of Spanish Independence begun. -

On the way to Moscow, it was about a 1000 miles so they had to make stops. Each stop was burned down because the Russians did not want the French to come so they left starve and freezing. -
Retreat from Moscow
They waited a month to surrender but they got nothing from the Russians. Napoleon and his remaining soldiers went to Paris. -
Battle of Leipzig
Also called Battle of the Nations. Using the last of his power to fight Germany and Poland. It was a severe defeat. -
Exile to Elba
Napoleon was exiled by governments which lead to surrending his throne. He was given the title, the emperor of Elba. -

Napoleon escaped from exile to Paris. It took the French a hundred days to realize. -
Battle of Waterloo
The French was defeated by Britain and Prussia. This was Napoleon's last defeat and the end of war between the French and other European countries. Napoleon was forced to abidicate again and exile to St. Helena -
Exile to St. Helena
Some followed him to his exile. He would always write. -
Death
Apparently it was stomach cancer. He died in St. Helena.
