Egyptian Campaign (Yellow)
Many of battles that were held in both Egypt and Syria . While in Egypt Napoleon and his fleet was very successful, but once they started to move toward the Middle East, they were caught of guard and captured. -
Banque de France (Green)
A bank created by Napoleon to aid and help economic distress. This was after the revolutionary period so many were in need of this economic help. -
Concordat of 1801 (Yellow)
An agreement between Napoleon and papal and clerical representatives from Rome and Paris. It defined the status of the Roman Catholic Church in France. It ended the breach that was caused by church reforms. -
Consul for Life (Green)
Napoleon declared himself first Consul for Life, this have him the most power. He took many large steps to help France and was well liked. -
Napoleonic Code (Green)
The main influence on the 19th century civil codes for most countries in Europe and Latin America. They are revised but still used around world. -
Consulate (Yellow)
A group of three men, Napoleon, Emanuel-Joseph Sieyes, and Pierre-Roger Ducos. They did things like make laws. The Consulate ended once Napoleon declared himself self emperor. -
Declared Self Emperor (Green)
Napoleon declared himself as emperor. At the ceremony he did not let the pope crown him, but crown himself. This was a big shock to many people. He also crowned Josephine. -
Battle of Trafalgar (Red)
A naval battle that was fought between a fleet of 33 ships(18 French 15 Spanish) and a fleet of 27 British ships. Britain took down the other fleet of ships and gained its Naval power for many years. -
Abolished Holy Roman Empire (Red)
The Holy Roman Empire was slowly becoming worse over time. While the other nations they controlled grew they were not, which ultimately lead to its end. -
Continental System (Yellow)
A blockade that was designed by Napoleon to stop Great Britain. It hurt English industries and stopped trade between Britain and its allies. But their lost resources was a problem. -
Resistance in Spain (Yellow)
Napoleon and his army invaded Spain. This lead to many violent fights. In the end Napoleon was forced to give up and he abdicated. -
Invasion of Russia (Red)
With a massive army of troops from all over Europe, Napoleon invaded Russia. Napoleon was very confident with his diverse army. But after a string of events his army was facing multiple difficulties and ended up losing. -
Battle of Nations at Leipzig (Red)
This battle was known as Battle of Leipzig or Battle of the Nations It was a defeat for Napoleon. This resulted in France losing the power it had left in Germany and Poland. -
Abdication (Red)
Austria, Russia, Prussia, and Great Britain allied in hopes of overthrowing Napoleon. Napoleon finally abdicated in April. The allies granted him many things such as 2 million francs. -
Hundred Days (Yellow)
Began when Napoleon escaped exile on Elba and returned to Paris. Ended when Louis XVII returned to Paris. -
Waterloo
During the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon and his army were defeated by the British and Prussians. This battle marked the end of Napoleon, and was his final battle.
