World War 1 began on July 28th, 1914 and it ended on November 11th, 1918. It was a terrible war. There were lots of deaths, but the war had lots of results. Some positive, some negative. It was a devastating war with lots of lives lost.

Haiti Earthquake

The Haiti Earthquake was on January 12, 2010. The earthquake hit Haiti with a magnitude of about 7.0Mw and almost destroyed everything in its path. It was a tragic event. About 316 000 people died, 300 000 were injured, and 1 000 000 made homeless. Shortly after, rescue crews arrived at the scene to help.
