The Student and Convocational center was expected to start at the beginning of 2010; this was announced in a news conference in May of 2008. It still hasn't even been started in the Spring of 2014. The rennovations include:
-1,000 seat basketball arena
-2,000 seat convocation center
-Running Track
-Dining Hall
-Much more -
The University recieved a $4 Million grant from Richard King Mellon Foundation for the Student Center
This was the largest gift that Point Park has ever recieved from an individual. -
The Former YMCA building opened as the Interim Student Center
This is the current Student center we use today. -

A celebration was held at the start of the fall semester of 2011 to celebrate the opening of the ubran park. The project wasn't completely finished, but it was open to the public. -

The second estimate of the finish date of Wood St. Corridor was at the end of 2011, according to the Point Park website. -
The Urban Park at Academic Village was offically completed
The completion includes:
-A collanade wrapping the Boulevard Apartments and Wood St.
-A granite water fountain
-A glass stair tower

-New elm trees
-milling and resurfacing of the street
-installation of new sidewalks and curbs
