British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee's 1989 invention, World Wide Web, had the first web page being upon the Internet in December of 1990. This includes the first browser along with server, HTML, and URLs. This can be seen as the foundation as what we know as the web today.

In 1998, Co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin created one of the most used search engine known as Google.
