    Tim Berners-Lee invented the first web browser called WorldWideWeb (later changed to Nexus). This browser essentially allowed the internet to be accessed from anywhere on different devices. The first browser paved the way for how we navigate the internet today with a variety of different web browsers to choose from.

    Playstation
    Sony released its first Playstation console in Japan. Sony would go on to produce several versions of the Playstation over the years, with the most recent being the PS5 in 2020.
  • Amazon

    Amazon
    In 1995 Amazon started as an online bookstore which gradually expanded through mergers and acquisitions. It has now become one of the biggest, if not, the biggest e-commerce platform in the world. Amazon has made a huge impact on the “everyday shopper” due to the ease, convenience, and access to various products and services. Amazon carries literally EVERYTHING!

    The DVD (Digital Video Disc) was developed in 1995 and released in 1996. It replaced the old, bulky VHS. The DVD player was also released during this time. With better visual and audio quality, this duo really changed the game for movies and entertainment.

    Apple released the iMac G3 all-in-one computer. It was the first model in the iMac line. The iMac was the first to use all USB ports, including the keyboard and mouse connectors. The oddly, unique design was innovative and helped influence the way computers and other tech devices are made today.
