    The Decembrist Revolt
    Nobels and even army members attempted to crush the czar, Nicholas I's government. That ended very quickly when he crushed the revolt and sent hundreds of people to Siberia where they would no longer be able to make a living in such a cold place. 150,000 people were accused of treason and secret police were used to spy on teachers, students, and even government officials to make sure they were not speaking pourly about the czar.

    After Alexander III's death, Nicholas II was up to be cazr because he was Alexander's son. Nicholas was not trained or ready to be the ruler of Russia.

    This war only lasted a year but Japan won many victories over the Russians.The Russians underestimated the military duties. Because of Russia's militart preformance, this was one of the causes to the Russian Revolution.

    Many people came together to protest against the czar and then suddenly, shots were fired and many people were killed. The czar Nicholas responded to this protest by agreeing to assemablies or an assembally called the "Duma".

    Being unaware of the specific date of the start of the Russian involvment, we do know that war lasted three years. Each side fighting expected to win fast and be over with the war but that was untrue with all the tramendous strain. Riffle supply was running down, and Russia's industries wereunderdeveloped because of czar and government. Russis allied with Britian and France, They were fighting Germany and Australia.

    I don't know what the date is for the start of the war but I know that it did start in 1917. This war lasted almost four years and it took place in Russia. It was red vs. white. The communists were organized and trained. They took control of all factories, mines, and buisneses. The whites were not ready for the communistsl.

    With not knowing the exact day of the march revolution, we do know that it was a protest over food shortage because of the war. No shots were fired on this day as many of the soldiers joined the people's protest. "Peace and food" the people shouted as they protested. This was the first time that laws were written down and not said by the czars decrees. The people were introduced to freedom of speech and religion.

    Nicholas lead Russia into many problems throughtout the years that he was cazr. The people of Russia finnaly had enough and he knew he could't edig himself out of the huge hole he dug not only himself but the whole country. With so much stress on him he had no choice but the abdicate the throne because he got the country into another war called WWI.

  • Vladimir Lenin's death

    Vladimir Lenin's death
    He died of a fuction with his brain at the age of 54. He became the leader after Nicholas abdicated the throne.
