10,000-year-old Crayon Found in England
Archaeologists in the United Kingdom are convinced that they have found a 10,000-year-old crayon. The utensil, reddish-brown and made from ocher, is less than an inch long and about a quarter-inch wide; one end was sharpened.

Women Outnumber Men Entering Oxford
Oxford University, one of the oldest postsecondary institutions in the United Kingdom if not the world, has admitted more women than men for the first time in its history.
