The beginning.
The two stories begin with two boys who want something they can't get. Roger, who wants a pair of blue suede shoes and Fausto, who wants a guitar. -
Their methods to get things.
Both of the kids did something to get the things they liked. Roger tried to steal a purse from a woman and Fausto lied to people to get money. -
How they were treated.
Both of the kids were treated differently when doing what they considered apropiated to get what they wanted. Roger got beaten and was taken to the victim's house. Fausto got treated very nicely and was given pastry and some cash. -
How they changed.
Both of the kida changed in some way after their encounters with the people they robed/lied to. Roger, didn't want to steal anything no more and thought more about his actions and Fausto, felt bad about lying and became a better person. -
The ending.
The kids finally change for good and become better people. Roger doesn't want to steal anymore and gets money to buy the shoes, making him happy. Fausto doesn't want to lie anymore, he donated the money to church and got his grandpa's guitar.
