  • Battle of gonzales

    This battle was the first official battle because it was the one where gunshots were fired and it was the first official battle texas won.The reason for the battle was because the texans and Santa anna fought over the possession of a single small cannon. This was the seed for the texas revolution to start.
  • Siege of Bexar

    The Mexicans occupied San Antonio with their forces. It says that the headquarters of the Mexican army was led by General Cos. Santa anna wanted to teach the people a lesson so he decided to come over there. When Sam Houston heard about Santa Anna’s approach he told the men to abort the town and they went to the abandoned mission called the alamo. This impacted the texas revolution because it made them go to the alamo which is where the Battle of the Alamo was.
  • Battle of Conception

    The battle or Concepcion was one of the first battles texas won. This was considered the first major battle in texas history because it is the first one where gunshots were fired and men fallen. This impacted the texas revolution by giving hope to the texans and leading to mexican upping their strategies.
  • Battle of the Alamo

    The battle of the Alamo was fought for the rights of texans. James Bowie, William B. Travis and David Crockett all played an important role. This impacted the the texans to be sure that they reach independence because this was a big step in it
  • Travis's letter

    Travis's letter was a letter sent by William B travis. It was sent to warn the people that santa anna was coming. He was trying to tell them that the people of texas are going to be in trouble if they do not take action. This impacted the texas revolution because it showed people what santa anna truly was.
  • The Runaway Scape

    The Runaway Scrape was a time in history where texans were scared for their lives. This is because Santa Anna’s said that “Any revolutionists found in his path would be killed”. This scared the texans deeply. They ran to the united states and General Houston ordered the town burned to prevent Santa Anna from gaining any benefit from it.
